Ford RS Cars Bathurst Run
Following a week where the weather was sometimes threatening it was good news for Sunday 18th August when the Ford RS Owners Club conducted a run west of the Great Dividing Range to Bathurst.
A good range of Ford RS cars assembled, from the modern in the form of Marc Crocker’s ex Jim Richards Focus, to the classics which included Stephen Roser’s Sierra Sapphire Cosworth, Garth Davidson’s Escort Cosworth, and Jason Baldwin’s Mk 2 RS2000.
A visit to the National Motor Racing Museum was followed by several laps of the daunting Mt Panorama road circuit, including a stop for photographs to be taken on hallowed ground before the hungry participants left the precinct to enjoy a hearty lunch before an uneventful drive home.
